Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you draw people? |
For the smiles. For the connections. I draw mostly on crowded public transport--places people sit still for more than three minutes. It's the greatest feeling, to walk into a gloomy train car and walk out leaving everyone with smiles.
|
How many people have you drawn? |
More than 16000! I started in 2013. Find photos of each on my Google Drive here, or a selection on my Instagram.

How much is a portrait? |

Who are you? |
My name is Morgan Randall. I'm from the USA (Texas, to be exact). I graduated with a degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, before moving to Germany for work, then Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and now again in Munich. I once made a wish to meet every person in the world, and after drawing thousands across more than 20 countries, I've come pretty far towards that dream.

Why do you draw with both hands? |
At 16-years-old, I watched a documentary that said Leonardo Davinci would draw with both hands at the same time. I thought that was really cool, so I learned over the course of 6 years. It was…very hard. XD
Now I draw because it's way faster, and looks super cool. After 13 years of practice, I use my right and left hands interchangeably for everything. Sometimes, at home you'll even find me using my feet for things. More than 14000! I started today at number 14680. What's your portrait number? |
What are your pronouns? |
I use they / them and she / her pronouns in English, und sie / ihr auf Deutsch.
|
Do you do this for a living? |
No. I work in data science here in Bavaria. Drawing portraits, like illustrating comics, animating, video editing, writing novels, learning languages, or contemporary dance are just hobbies of mine. I get creative with how I fill my time.
|
Don't your hands get tired? |
They do! But my current record is drawing 104 portraits in a single day, which was set at the Munich's 2023 AnderArt Fest in September.
|
Who was portrait #1? |
Someone in a Communications class in college, ten years ago in 2013. The professor was late, so I drew a fellow student. I didn't take photos of each portrait back then, as I didn't have a phone with a camera! I had no idea I was going to keep going past 100, let alone 14000.
|
Can I get you anything? |
Hot tea! Today I'll draw for more than seven hours straight today. I'll be talking with people and crowds for most of it. My throat could use a nice, steaming, warm cup of tea.
|
How much are your large artworks? |
Prices are negotiable! ...Though I set my 'ideal' price at 300 euros. More information on my product page.
